H-1B salaries by occupation

Offered wages from certified Labor Condition Applications. Percentiles come from $5,000 wage bands summed across employers, so a large sponsor weighs more than a small one — which is what an average of company medians gets wrong.

Occupations, highest median first

Listed only where at least 25 disclosed positions across 3 or more employers stand behind the numbers.

Offered wage percentiles on certified LCAs, by SOC code.

What these numbers are

The wage on a Labor Condition Application is the wage the employer attested it would pay when it filed — a floor, disclosed before the job started, and never updated afterwards. It is not a salary survey, it does not include equity or bonus, and it does not tell you what anyone is paid today.

Hourly, weekly and monthly wages are converted to an annual figure by the loader before they are bucketed, so a $60/hour contract and a $124,800 salary land in the same band.
